Children must learn to walk, talk, eat, and lots of ot her life skills. Without socialization individuals can not develop intelligence, and never learn how to perform basic daily functions. Children must know the values, beliefs, and norms of the surrounding culture, so that they will be able to know what is expected from them. The process of socialization and the sources of socialization are very important in the developing of children.
